At the left, marked “Phonopore Construction Co. Ltd. Southall, England Serial No. 2319”.
At the right, marked “Sterling Type A Phonopore serial No. 1049”.
Please note the dual headpieces and absence of a hand crank, as a “buzzer” was used to call the attention at the remote end, without interfering with the telegraph signalling.
