Details of the cable shown in SU-011.

The cable consists of two jute layers, fifteen No. 6 (3/16” or about 4.7 millimeters) sheathing wires, another layer of jute, cotton tape, lead protection,  India Rubber core (again covered with cotton tape) and seven copper wires (each individually tinned) of 1/32” diameter (about 0.8 millimeters).

It is believed that this cable dates about the end of the nineteenth century.
